MODIFIKASI PENAMBAHAN SYSTEM WATER SPARATOR SEBAGAI SOLUSI REDUCE BREAKDOWN PROBLEM FUEL SYSTEM PADA UNIT HEAVY DUMP TRUCK MODEL TL859
Abstract
ABSTRAK:
PT Global Makara Teknik merupakan kontraktor pertambangan batu bara swasta yang menggunakan alat angkut heavy dump truck model TL859 sebagai alat untuk pengangkutan overbuden (OB). Penggunaan bahan bakar biodiesel B40 (40% bahan bakar nabati dan 60% solar) diperusahaan pertambangan indonesia diatur dalam serangakaian kebijakan pemerintah yaitu UU No 22 tahun 2001 tantang minyak dan bumi, peraturan presiden no 191 tahun 2014, peraturan mentri ESDM no 4 tahun 2025 tentang pengusahaan dan pemanfaatan bahan bakar nabati. Berdasarkan regulasi tersebut perusahaan pertambangan diwajibkan menggunakan B40 untuk operasional unit yang menggunakan mesin diesel. Aplikasi bahan bakar biodiesel B40 di PT Global Makara Teknik belum berjalan dengan baik untuk engine dengan system common rail yaitu unit model TL859, masalah yang terjadi unit mengalami low power dan asap hitam, sehingga dengan masalah tersebut konsumsi penggunaan injector meningkat, PA (physical availability) unit menurun. Metode penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan data kuantitatif dan eksperimen, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjaga lifetime injector yaitu dengan cara menambahkan proses filtrasi pada fuel dengan pemasangan water sparator tambahan, didapatkan data unit yang telah dipasangkan water sparator sebanyak 46 data dengan hasil lifetime rata-rata yaitu 125 jam, dengan lifetime injector mencapai rata-rata 300 jam, PA unit meningkat menjadi 83.9% dan konsumsi injector dapat di reduce sebesar 48%. Penggunaan solar biodiesel B40 dapat di aplikasikan secara efektif di unit heavy dump truck model TL859 dengan cara penambahan water sparator sehingga proses filtrasi fuel dapat maksimal dan fuel masuk ke ruang bakar secara efektif.

ABSTRACT
PT Global Makara Teknik is a private coal mining contractor that uses heavy dump trucks model TL859 as a means of transporting overburden (OB). The use of B40 biodiesel fuel (40% biofuel and 60% diesel) in Indonesian mining companies is regulated in a series of government policies, namely Law No. 22 of 2001 concerning oil and gas, Presidential Regulation No. 191 of 2014, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 4 of 2025 concerning the business and utilization of biofuels. Based on the regulation, mining companies are required to use B40 for the operation of units that use diesel engines. The application of B40 biodiesel fuel at PT Global Makara Teknik has not been running well for engines with a common rail system, namely the TL859 model unit, the problem that occurs is that the unit experiences low power and black smoke, so that with these problems the consumption of injector usage increases, the PA (physical availability) of the unit decreases. This research method uses quantitative and experimental data, the purpose of this study is to maintain the lifetime of the injector by adding a filtration process to the fuel with the installation of an additional water separator, obtained data from units that have been installed with a water separator as many as 46 data with an average lifetime result of 125 hours, with an injector lifetime reaching an average of 600 hours, the unit PA increased to 83.9% and injector consumption can be reduced by 30%. The use of B40 biodiesel diesel can be applied effectively in the TL859 model heavy dump truck unit by adding a water separator so that the fuel filtration process can be maximized and the fuel enters the combustion chamber effectively
